                                                    The mirror
                                               Is my only friend.
                                       I’m smiling on the outside,
                                     But this grin is one of regret,
                             Because beneath my smile, I’m crying
                                      The shallow reflection kills,
                                          It points out the truth.
                                              My only enemy is
                                                   The mirror.

A quick idea I had for =RawEm0tion's weekly theme, "Fake Happiness" Basically, mirrors are the only ones that can tell our true feelings without flaw, or at least that's how I see it. :)

Made in an interesting form of Rictameter :D

The way the poem is formatted, if you look at it sideways, it kind of looks like a hand mirror... yay! visuals!
